Really? Believe it or not, sex and intelligence aren’t mutually exclusive. You don’t lose IQ points every time you fuck someone! The books on your bedside table don’t grow legs and run away in disgust when you have sex! Blowing a guy won’t cause all the profound thoughts to shoot out of your head and your hymen isn’t holding in your smarts! This is pretty subtle slut-shaming hiding behind the guise of promoting books and being awesome*, but it’s slut-shaming nonetheless. You don’t possess superior intellect because you’re a virgin. You don’t possess superior intellect because you’re not a virgin. People need to stop equating girls who have sex with stupidity (guys, too, but let’s be honest - when was the last time you saw a guy shamed for enjoying his sexuality?). Because that’s not cool. What goes on or doesn’t go on in your boudoir changes absolutely fucking nothing about what kind of person you are or how many minds you’re gonna blow in the future.

*by all means, read books. Be awesome. But don’t think you have to build a moat around your virginity in order to do it.
